Future Generations (FG) represents a global network of non-governmental organizations, which includes FG Country Programs in Asia and Africa, Future Generations University (FGU) along with its alumni across 17 countries, academia, and individual experts. The initial charitable organization, founded in 1992, aimed to learn from and build upon the most successful instances of community empowerment and social change worldwide. In 2006, the Future Generations Graduate School (later known as Future Generations University) was established in West Virginia, authorized to confer a Master's Degree in Applied Community Change with a focus on Conservation and Peacebuilding.
