Job Summary:

The responsibilities of the incumbent in this position will be variable and include strategic planning, annual work plan preparation and organization, technical evaluation of equipment such as equipment assessment, maintaining and caring for existing equipment along with estimating their prices, technological options assessment in the energy sector, collaboration in material procurement, and more.

 

It will be necessary to liaise with all provincial heads, adapt to public and private partnership projects, and IPP projects.

 

The person in this position will have the overall responsibility for supervising the alignment of renewable energy projects in the provinces. This includes ensuring trouble-free delivery and maintenance of the equipment. Supervision of the operation of renewable energy equipment is one of the key responsibilities of the monitoring and evaluation manager, who will be involved in coordinating with various branches across Afghanistan, participating in planning, monitoring, and control of equipment, and more.

 

Responsibilities include providing ongoing training for field education and preparing educational materials for renewable energy equipment. Furthermore, the responsibility for monitoring and continuing collaboration in the maintenance and care of projects that are in operation will also fall under their purview.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Monthly, quarterly, and annual work plan organization in accordance with the relevant department's plan.

- Short-term, medium-term, and long-term work plan organization in accordance with the relevant department's plan.

- Annual production plan organization for renewable energy equipment.

- Maintenance and care plan organization for renewable energy equipment.

- On-site supervision and evaluation of renewable energy equipment.

- Preparation and organization of technical specifications, estimated prices, and bill of quantities for the maintenance and care of renewable energy equipment.

- Monitoring the status of renewable energy equipment at the central and provincial levels.

- Monitoring the maintenance and care of renewable energy equipment at the central and provincial levels.

- Technical collaboration with provincial maintenance and care staff and providing necessary training for them.

- Monitoring and reviewing IPP renewable energy equipment.

- Daily and monthly production report analysis for IPPs.

- Analyzing the technical and economic aspects of operating renewable energy equipment.

- Leading a work team and relevant management members.

- Testing the required equipment and operating it.

- Managing network production capacity and synchronization.

- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, basic principles, policies, and guidelines in the renewable energy sector.

- Prioritizing work tasks.

- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.

- Ability to prepare and organize daily correspondence and reports.

- Ability to translate documents from English to local languages and vice versa.

- Ability to work with standard office equipment.

- Effective communication skills.

- Understanding and drawing conclusions from verbal and written instructions.

 

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.

- Four years of work experience in the relevant field.

- Proficiency in computer programs and databases.

- Familiarity with design and calculation programs for renewable energy equipment.

- Knowledge of construction fundamentals related to solar and wind power projects.
